How to Use Your G.P.S. Response

Every full G.P.S. Response is broken into clear sections. Here’s how to use each one before you react, respond, or make your next move.

Guidance

The honest read on what’s really happening and what deserves your attention first.

Perspective

Helps you see the situation more clearly — beyond the pressure, fear, or emotion of the moment.

Strategy

A practical direction for what to do next so you are not reacting without a plan.

What Not To Do

Helps you avoid reactions, mistakes, messages, or decisions that could make the situation worse.

What To Say

Gives you words you can use when you need to respond, explain yourself, set a boundary, or ask for what you need.

Blueprint

Turns your response into a clearer follow-through plan you can review, save, and come back to.

Aftercare

Helps you reset after the situation, follow through, and take care of yourself after the emotional pressure.

Calm Break

Use this when you need to pause, settle your body, and calm your thoughts before you respond or make a decision.

How to use your response before reacting

Read Guidance, Perspective, and Strategy first so you understand what is happening and what direction to take. Then review What Not To Do before you text, call, quit, argue, post, or make a decision. After that, use What To Say if you need words. Use the Blueprint to turn the response into a follow-through plan. Use Aftercare and Calm Break when you need to reset before or after the situation.

How to save or revisit your response

When you are signed in, your responses can be saved so you can come back to them later. Reopen past responses from Recent G.P.S. Responses, Saved Situations, or your profile area if available. The Blueprint is especially useful when you want to remember the plan and follow through.
